About My Practice Jane Parson- Fein

About My Practice

I do psychotherapy and hypnosis with individuals, couples, families, and groups. Each of us is unique, and each of us has our own unique pain or unique desire to create change in our lives. As a therapist, I work with you to understand the language of your unique hurts and/or goals, whether physical or emotional, having to do with relationships, family, work, or some kind of crisis.

I have spent many years studying different approaches to psychotherapy, including four masters with whom I personally studied: Milton Erickson, said to be the greatest medical hypnotist in the world; Virginia Satir, said by many to be the most nurturing family therapist, whose system is world-wide; Moshe Feldenkrais, who used his understanding of physics and black belt Judo to work with the body-mind connection, also known worldwide; Kay Thompson, DDS, a protégé of Erickson’s and a dentist whose use of hypnotic language made it possible for dental patients with hemophilia to control their bleeding without medication. I also have studied TA and Gestalt, EMDR, EFT, and have a background in Freudian psychoanalysis.

When someone first walks into my office, I begin to work with whatever system or blend of systems could truly help them, learning to speak their language and listen with my heart.

Over the years I have worked with many different diagnosis:

. Anorexia/Bulimia
. Anxiety
. Cancer
. Childbirth
. Depression
. Dissociation
. Habit Problems
. IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)
. Fertility/IVF
. Low Self-Esteem
. Neurological Complaints

. Personality Problems
